May 25-27 – Healing ministry ...
May 25, 7pm – On the
Friday
evening prior to these events, Canon Mark will hold a training session at St Luke’s
for people involved in healing ministry. Those involved in the ministry of
healing and prayer are welcome. There is no charge.
May 26 – St Luke’s Pembroke,
ON is offering a "Healing the Whole Person" retreat on Saturday. May
26 9:30am to 4pm led by the Rev Canon Dr Mark Pearson. Canon Mark
has led retreats for ANiC churches before and comes very highly recommended. He
is a prolific author, speaker and director of a Christian renewal and healing
centre in New Hampshire. Registration is $25 and people are asked to bring a
bag lunch (snacks and drinks provided), however subsidies are available. You
can register by emailing St Luke’s or by calling the church office at 613-735-5000.
May 27, 7pm – Canon Mark then will lead a healing
service at St Peter & St Paul’s on Sunday evening May 27 (Pentecost).

June 7-9 – ACNA Provincial Assembly, Ridgecrest, NC ...
Our Province, the Anglican Church in North America, is holding its second province-wide Assembly on June 7-9 in Ridgecrest, North Carolina. As a diocese, ANiC will be represented in business meetings by our appointed delegates; however, everyone is most welcome to attend the entire event. The inaugural Assembly in 2009 was most inspirational. For information and online registration, see the ACNA website.
June 11-12 – Asian & Multicultural Ministries in Canada (AMMiC) 2nd annual conference, Vancouver ...

June 20 – Ordinations in Toronto and Phoenix ...
Melvin
Chen will be ordained on June 20 at Christ the King, Toronto, as a transitional
deacon. Mel, who recently graduated from Wycliffe, is planting a multicultural church
in Toronto which will be a pioneer project of our Asian and Multicultural Ministry
(AMMiC). Mel and his family come from Singapore and have ministry experience in
Thailand. Please pray for Mel and his family as they embark on this new faith
adventure.
Julian Gibb will be
ordained to the transitional diaconate by Bishop Trevor Walters in Phoenix, Arizona
on behalf of the local ACNA Bishop, Bill Thompson. Julian was a Regent student,
Artizo intern, and member of St John’s Vancouver.
November 14-16 – ANiC synod ...
Synod 2012 will be held November 14-16 in Ottawa. Arrangements have been made with the Lord Elgin hotel in downtown Ottawa for special rates on accommodation. The larger meetings will take place at the National Arts Centre across the street from the hotel, while St Peter and St Paul's historic downtown edifice will be the venue for the opening and closing Eucharist.
March 12-14 – ANiC’s 2013 Clergy Retreat at Cedar Springs, Washington

May 12 – Ordination on in Ottawa ...
Bishop
Charlie Masters will ordain the Rev Brian de Visser to the priesthood on
Saturday, May 12 at 4pm at St Peter and St Paul's (Ottawa). All are invited to
attend and clergy are invited to robe. Please keep Brian and Sarah and their
three children, Anna, Noah and Levi, in your prayers.
April 22 – Celebrating confirmations at Church of the Ascension (Langley, BC) ...
Three
adult parishioners will be confirmed on April 22 with Bishop Ron as the celebrant.
April 17 – Celebrating baptisms at Good Shepherd (Vancouver, BC) ...
On Easter Sunday, Bishop Stephen will baptize
three adult parishioners and three children. Later, on April 17, he will
baptize two adults and one child, as well as confirm three adults, all involved
with the restaurant workers’ ministry in Richmond, BC.
April 14 – Celebrating
God’s gracious goodness
On April 14, Good Shepherd
(Vancouver) will hold a special service to celebrate God’s goodness
in allowing them to pay off their mortgage thanks to the bequest of a former
parishioner as well as the sacrificial giving of current parishioners. Bishop Stephen
Leung, Good Shepherd’s rector, says, “This will be a time to give thanks, to
witness to our journey of faith… [and also] to consecrate the church building.” Parishioners will give testimonies; Bishop Don Harvey and other bishops will
participate.
April 5 – Vancouver Passover Seder on Maundy Thursday ...
St Matthias and St Luke Church, Vancouver, will host a Passover Seder Supper in association with Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Maundy Thursday, April 5, at 6pm, in the Parish Hall – 320 East 15th Avenue, Vancouver. They are welcoming fellow Christians to experience a Passover Seder. The event will help you understand the Lord’s Supper in the context of the Passover Seder. If interested, please register before March 29, 2012 by emailing info@smslchurch.ca. Seating is limited. Participation is by donation. Please note that the full Seder Supper will last at least a couple of hours.

March 24 – ANiC Toronto Regional Men’s Breakfast ...
The second ANiC men’s breakfast in the Greater Toronto region is planned for Saturday, March 24th at 9am. Once again it will be held in the Red Crest Golf Club House, just west of Newmarket, ON. Bishop Charlie Masters will be the speaker and the theme is Advancing with Jesus towards Holy Week. Please register by March 18 by emailing Walter Marshall or calling him at 705 999-2911. Please be in prayer for those who have just been ordained and who are being ordained to the priesthood and diaconate in ANiC. May God use ANiC clergy to make disciples, plant churches, and build the Kingdom of Our Lord Jesus Christ. ANiC clergy are strongly urged to participate in all ordinations in your area. Your support and encouragement for new ordinands is vital.

Vancouver-area women’s
conference, February 18 ...
A women’s conference, Out of Context – A
Fresh Look at the Lord’s Prayer, will be held in Vancouver on February 18. Carolyn
Hindmarch, an ANiC parishioner, will be one of the teachers. The conference
will provide teaching on the Lord’s Prayer in a fresh, engaging and reverent
way. The intent is that women who come will be encouraged to read the bible in
a way that allows deep engagement with God’s Word. For more information see the St John’s
