Elise Bigley
Elise is a member of St. Peter & St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Ottawa, Ontario. Hail- ing from the rainy city of Vancouver, Elise moved to Ottawa in 2015 to complete her Master of Arts in History at Carleton University. It was here that she met her now husband, David, who introduced her to St Peter & St Paul’s and the Anglican tradition. Once a sceptic of the liturgical tradition, she now finds herself lost without it.
Elise first came to faith through attending Youth Group during high school and is thankful for the lifelong friendships formed during that time. She considers it a priv- ilege to walk alongside the Youth of St. Peter & St. Paul’s as a Youth Leader and values creating a community where the Youth feel safe to ask tough questions about life and faith. Elise previously served as the parish’s Plan to Protect Coordinator, implementing St Peter & St Paul’s first Plan to Protect policy and has served on the Parish Council since 2019.
Elise currently works as a project manager at an agricultural policy think tank. Previously she was the Director of Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of Israel and a Researcher at the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre.
