Making our churches safe places for everyone is of the utmost importance to us as a diocese. We want our churches to be among the safest places in every community we are represented; a place where young and old can be comfortable and protected at all times.
With that in mind we have partnered with Plan to Protect®, an organization dedicated to abuse prevention and equipping their partners with effective and customized policies, procedures, and training, to make our communities safe. They work with camps, schools, daycares, clubs, retirement facilities, churches, or other organization that work with the vulnerable sector. Their services include customized policies and procedures, risk assessment, strategic planning, fast-tracked criminal record checks, community support, training, and much more.
Through Plan to Protect's risk assessment and training we have a customized implementation strategy for making each of our churches safe for everyone and are regularly updating our polices and adding new resources.
