Grants Available for Summer Youth Programs

Investing today in discipling and nurturing children and youth to be faithful leaders in the church tomorrow

The Bishop Donald and Trudy Harvey Legacy Fund was established to support creative, sustainable ministry initiatives in ANiC which nurture and disciple children and young people.

Again this year this Trust is available to provide assistance to parishes who plan to do special summer programmes involving children and young people.

 

Here are the details:

 

  • One time grants ranging from $500 to $2000 are available for projects and activities being planned for the summer (and even extending into the fall).

 

  • While detailed plans are not needed, some basic information should be supplied, describing the activity and the benefits that it will forthcoming to the recipients.

 

  • Some financial input (not necessarily matching) would be expected from the parish.

 

  • Applications should be sent to Bishop Don (d-harvey@nf.sympatico.ca) who in turn will distribute them to the Committee. The Rector’s approval is required in all cases.

 

Deadline for applications will be May 28, 2019.

 

Notification as to whether the application has been approved will be forthcoming by June 10.
