GAFCON 2023 - Kigali, Rwanda

Update: You can now read the statement coming out of the conference here: The Kigali Commitment

The GAFCON movement is a global family of authentic Anglicans standing together to retain and restore the Bible to the heart of the Anglican Communion. With provinces all around the world it represents the majority of all Anglicans. At its core GAFCON is a mission movement renewing the work of the Gospel among Anglicans throughout the world.

It is particularly important because some influential parts of the Anglican communion including the Church of England, the Episcopal Church USA and the Anglican Church of Canada have been working to move the communion away from biblical beliefs about God and His moral plan for human relationships. Every five years since 2008, Anglican lay, clergy and bishop delegates from over 40 countries have met together at GAFCON conferences. These gatherings are to strengthen the mission of the church and to lead the Anglican communion in being aligned with the Gospel in its ministry and in publicly correcting unbiblical decisions by sections of the communion.

This year GAFCON is meeting in Kigali, Rwanda April 17-21, 2023 and ANIC will have 13 delegates who will participate. They are:

  • Rev. Canon Howard Edwards

  • Rev. Marilyn Flowers

  • Bishop Dan Gifford

  • Bishop Don Harvey

  • Rev. Devin Hunt

  • Sarah Hunt

  • Bishop Stephen Leung

  • Nona Leung

  • Rev. Canon Brian McVitty

  • Rev. Jordan Senner

  • Rev. Canon George Sinclair

  • Mike Tweedle

  • Bishop Trevor Walters

Please pray for these delegates and pray that through this conference a deep unity will be fostered in the Gospel amongst all faithful, Bible believing. Pray also for wisdom in addressing unorthodox and unbiblical decisions recently by the Church of England.
