Our Seminary Working Group is a team appointed by Bishop Charlie Masters, our Diocesan Bishop, in late 2020.


Group Members:

Their mandate is:

To investigate creating a seminary for ANiC in St. John’s Newfoundland.

To prepare a written report for Bishop Charlie, recommending the creation of a seminary to prepare        ordinands for ministry in ANiC.

The written report will come from Gary Graber.


The intention is that the report will include recommendations in the following areas:

Church of the Good Samaritan’s building (possible location for seminary/college) and St. John’s NFLD harbour.

  1. Vision and mission statements.

  2. Founding principles.

  3. A map of the requirements for accreditation — together with values.

  4. The creation of a board to see the project into reality (scope / structure / design / members).

  5. Recommendations regarding the workings of the College (faculty / curriculum / academic viability / economic viability / library / location etc.)


Timeline

The group is intending to submit their report and recommendations to Bishop Charlie in September 2021.
