This year our annual Synod will be held all online. Although we will miss out on being together in person, it does mean that no matter where we are in the country we can connect and move forward as a diocese.
We are full of hope and faith for what the Lord is doing in the Anglican Network in Canada and thankful for each of our churches and members.
Let’s work together to support and encourage one another and spur one another on to good works by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, all for his glory. The word of God is not bound! Though we are separated by geography we are all united by his same Spirit, present and working in each of us wherever we are.

How We’ll Gather
Synod 2020 will be held using the Zoom video meeting service and will be live-streamed for observers on our YouTube Channel. For delegates we will provide many more details after your registration and as the event approaches including orientation meetings before Synod to ensure all delegates know how to enter the meeting, vote, ask questions and more.
Each voting member of Synod (an active clergy person or official delegate from your congregation) will need to be able to connect individually to the Zoom meeting using a computer, tablet or smartphone and relatively good internet speeds. If you’re able to watch video or use Zoom normally that’s all you should require. Delegates who do not have these capabilities should contact their parish leadership for guidance.
Again more specific details and instructions will be provided to voting members of Synod after their registration.
Registration
If you are a voting member of our ANiC Synod (an active clergy person or delegate from your congregation) you can register below.
Unlike past years, observers do not need to register. Synod will be streamed live online and available to anyone who wishes to watch.

Agenda
This year our Synod agenda will be a little different and streamlined given it will all be online. It will consist of two days of meetings. Each meeting is planned to be approximately 3 hours, running from 1pm–4pm Eastern (2:30pm–5:30pm NFLD, 10:00am–1:00pm Pacific). Included in our agenda will be our Bishop’s Charge, testimonies, presentations, voting on Council members, canon changes and more. We will have a more detailed agenda available as we get closer to the event.
Invest in Church Planting
This year there is no cost to attending Synod. But we would ask you to consider donating to our Church Planting Initiative fund. We have several brand new, strategic church plants launching across the nation and we hope to be able to provide opportunities for many more in the coming days. Strategic church planting in our country requires significant financial support. Would you please consider investing in the planting of new Biblically faithful, gospel sharing, Anglican churches.
